Experiences - Travel and Myself -- How To Travel Cheaper

Experiences - Travel and Myself

Hello,  Im a West Australian with a full ‘wish list’ of travel scenarios for the future. I don’t want to just browse on virtualtourist.com (although I love the site) ..  I want to see, smell and walk the places on my list.

As for me, Im just a normal working woman, no kids - one husband. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, an Australian since the settlers arrived about 200 years ago.

Im afraid for the planet, concerned about global warming, about the lack of green in the environment and hate seeing the planet used as though there were no tomorrow.  We need our trees, less so plastic.

Did you know there is a cloud of plastic in the Pacific ocean about the same size of Australia?  What’s this doing for the marine environment? Its sterilising it and what’s it doing for our food source?

For me travel is a necessity, because I feel the planet needs to be seen and learned about, while we can still enjoy what it has to offer.  I can enjoy a lot of ‘armchair’ travel too, which is a lot less trouble and a lot less expensive though :} - credit of Foxtell.  But I do long for those spaces and places only seen in my minds wanderings.

In addition to this I’m concerned about the third world people.  In many ways our lives are rich because of their squalor and poverty.  Look at your running shoes.  How much did they cost the third world workers to make?

They need to be  helped and countries released from debt.  I hope sson to have a donations facility on my site.  It should be part of Wordpress and every package we use.

I’ve made my site somwhat multi-cultural I hope. I want to attract a varied kind of visitor. I can’t have every language, but I’m glad to have a few.

As for me, I guess this is all I have to say for now. I hope to learn about wordpress as I create my site and look forward to putting my journal of Europe (2006) and some pictures I have of various places there. Especially Italy, France, Germany and Croatia.

I’d be honoured to make your friendship.   Happy for content unless its spam. So please allow us all to have a view into your ‘travel lives’ as I hope to bring some richness and interest to this rather ’vanilla’ flavoured travel site.  That might change too soon.

Welcoming you,

Kathy
